Sour Mushroom Appetizer

Ingredients:

  • 400g mushrooms (button or oyster), cleaned and sliced
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar (apple cider or white)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme or oregano
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Cook the Mushrooms:
    • In a pan, heat olive oil and sauté mushrooms over medium heat until they release water and shrink slightly (about 6–8 minutes).
  2. Add Garlic & Seasonings:
    • Add minced garlic, salt, pepper, thyme, and stir. Cook for another 1–2 minutes.
  3. Add Sourness:
    • Turn off the heat and mix in lemon juice and vinegar.
  4. Chill & Serve:
    • Let it cool completely. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve cold.
