“Tiramisu is a classic Italian dessert made with layers of coffee-soaked ladyfingers, creamy mascarpone filling, and cocoa powder. It’s rich, smooth, and absolutely delicious! Perfect for coffee lovers.”

Health Benefits of Tiramisu:

  • Energy Boost: Contains caffeine from coffee.
  • High in Calcium & Protein: Thanks to mascarpone and eggs.
  • Mood-Enhancing: Chocolate and coffee make it a perfect pick-me-up dessert!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (240ml) strong brewed coffee (cooled)
  • 2 tablespoons coffee liqueur (optional)
  • 2 eggs, separated
  • ½ cup (100g) granulated sugar
  • 1 cup (250g) mascarpone cheese
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 20-24 ladyfingers (savoiardi biscuits)
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • Dark chocolate shavings (optional, for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Coffee Mixture:
    • Mix the cooled coffee with coffee liqueur (if using) and set aside.
  2. Make the Mascarpone Cream:
    • In a bowl, whisk egg yolks and sugar until light and creamy.
    • Add mascarpone and vanilla extract, and mix until smooth.
  3. Whip the Egg Whites:
    • In another bowl, beat egg whites until stiff peaks form.
    • Gently fold them into the mascarpone mixture for an airy texture.
  4. Assemble the Tiramisu:
    • Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee (don’t soak too long, or they’ll get mushy).
    • Layer half of them in a dish, then spread half of the mascarpone cream on top.
    • Repeat with another layer of ladyfingers and cream.
  5. Chill & Serve:
    • Refrigerate for at least 4 hours (overnight is best!).
    • Dust with cocoa powder before serving and add chocolate shavings if desired.

Tips for the Best Tiramisu:

Use Strong Coffee: Espresso works best!
Don’t Over-Soak the Ladyfingers: Dip quickly for the perfect texture.
Chill Well: The flavors develop better overnight.
